Job Overview
The head of Sales is responsible for overseeing all machine sales activities across the company and managing the area sales team.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
The Head of Sales is a senior executive within the Company whose role is to devise national sales plans, justifying those plans to the Company Directors and supervising the area managers to ensure that they are leading and mentoring their team successfully through strong and effective leadership.
Achieve Growth and reach sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence within the market
Objective setting, coaching and performance management of area business managers
Build and maintain relationships with our Principals
Present sales reports and realistic forecasts to the Company Directors via Salesforce
Shared responsibility for delivering fiscal sales budget
Identify emerging markets and market performance while being fully aware of competition status
Management experience.
Supporting and engagement with the Company’s 5 year strategic plan, creating and shaping our future 2023
Demonstrating and engaging others in the Company’s core values
Fiscal budget functional responsibility
Reporting and presenting to the senior management team and attending meetings
Any other duties which may be appropriate to fulfil the present and future needs of the business
Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes
BSc/MSc in Communications, Marketing, Business Management, Business Administration, or any other related field. The equivalent of this in working experience is also acceptable
Successful previous experience, at least 10 years, as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
Strong leadership skills
Committed to continuous personal development through workshops, seminars and conferences
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to drive the sales process from strategic plan to close of sale
Must have either machine tool/Metal cutting, Robotics, Metrology, or Carbide manufacturing engineering expertise
Strong negotiating skills
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
Remuneration & Employment Package
Good basic salary £60,000 – £70,000 OTE £100,000
Incentive scheme based on the overall success of the sales territories
